Extended workability with controlled retardation. PCE-R200 combines PCE water reduction with controlled set-retardation, giving 2–6 hours of slump retention. It is designed for hot-weather concreting, long-distance ready-mix delivery, and mass pours where reducing peak hydration heat mitigates thermal cracking. Target grades M25–M50.
PCE-R200 combines PCE water reduction with controlled set-retardation, giving 2–6 hours of slump retention. It is designed for hot-weather concreting, long-distance ready-mix delivery, and mass pours where reducing peak hydration heat mitigates thermal cracking. Target grades M25–M50.
Built on a TPEG/HPEG polycarboxylate-ether backbone, PCE-R200 is chloride-free, low-alkali and non-corrosive, suitable for reinforced and prestressed concrete. Conforms to IS 9103:1999 · ASTM C494 Type F (retarding).
Typical dosage for this grade: 0.6–1.3% for mass / long-haul. Confirm by trial.
Compatible with OPC 43 / 53, PPC, PSC, SRC; fly ash ≤35%, GGBS ≤50%, silica fume ≤10%.
Caution: avoid cross-contamination with naphthalene-based (SNF) admixtures in shared mixer trucks or dosing lines, which can cause flash set or severe slump loss.
